Plans and licensing

Structure is free, workload is paid. The free plugin has everything you need to model and print your content. Paid plans add scale and automation: generating pages from data, AI, forms, bulk list tools and extra field types.

Mass Custom Fields is sold through Freemius, which handles checkout, invoices and license management as the merchant of record. Plans are billed annually (the default) or monthly; see the plans on the product page.

What each plan includes

Each plan includes everything in the plans to its left. A trial gives access to the trial plan's features (see Trials, renewals and expiry). The page builder tags, the Field widget, {{ }} variables in widgets and the evaluation of display conditions that were already saved stay free.

The Pro page (free sites)

Without a license, the header shows a Get Pro button and the Plugins screen shows a Get Pro link. Both open the Mass Custom Fields Pro page, a plain information page:

• "Everything you build with the free plugin keeps working. Pro adds page generation, AI, forms, list tools, advanced fields and builder widgets on top."
• Buttons Upgrade to Pro and Start a 14-day free trial.
• Cards for every Pro feature, then a Compare plans table with the plans' limits.
• The line "The trial needs no card. If a license ends, your fields, data and pages stay; see the plans for details."

There are no locked or disabled controls anywhere else in the free plugin: Pro screens and field types do not appear at all without Pro. The only other upgrade prompts are the dismissible Do more with Pro card on the dashboard and a hint in the setup wizard. Both link to the Pro page.

Settings › Plan & license

Once the site has a license, a running trial or an expired license, the Pro page is replaced by WPM Fields › Settings › Plan & license. The plugin-screen link reads My plan and the Get Pro button disappears.

The tab shows:

• A summary card: "<Plan> plan" with a badge (Active, Trial or Expired) and a sentence such as "Your site has the Business plan."
• Buy a license while on a trial, Renew license when expired, and Manage license (opens your Freemius account page) once the site is registered.
• Included in your plan and Available on a higher plan feature grids, with an Upgrade plan button.
• Compare plans, with your plan marked Your plan.

Buying, upgrading and managing

• Buy or upgrade from the Pro page, the Upgrade plan button, or wpmass.com. Checkout and invoices are handled by Freemius.
• Manage payment method, invoices, site slots and downloads in your Freemius account (Manage license on the Plan & license tab).
• Moving up a plan keeps everything you built and unlocks features and limits straight away.
• Sites: a Pro license covers 1 site, Business 5, Agency unlimited. Freemius counts the sites; the plugin itself does not.

Limits in practice

The page and task limits count your Programmatic SEO work: Generated pages is the total number of generated URLs across all tasks and Page generation tasks is how many tasks you can have. The Programmatic SEO documentation explains how pages are counted.

Support and refunds

• Pro, Business and Agency: email support. Updates and support run while your license is active.
• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. See the refund policy.

Frequently asked

Is there a lifetime plan? Not at launch; it may be offered later for a limited time.

Does the free plugin stop working if I never buy Pro? No. It is complete for fields, post types, taxonomies, options pages and Global Data, and it is not time limited.

Can I use the same license on a staging site? Freemius counts sites by license quota. Check your account for details.
