Limits and plans

What each plan includes
Pro | Business | Agency | |
|---|---|---|---|
Row mode, sitemap, SEO, structured data, internal links, quick start | yes | yes | yes |
BYOK AI, post conversion | yes | yes | yes |
Generated pages in total | 5,000 | 50,000 | unlimited |
Tasks | 5 | 50 | unlimited |
One page per combination (comparison mode) and several data sources in one task | no | yes | yes |
Keep pages in sync (scheduled runs) | no | yes | yes |
Languages (WPML, Polylang) | no | yes | yes |
Trials work like the plan they trial and always end at once when the trial ends (see Trials, renewals and expiry). Plans are explained in Plans and licensing.
Without Pro the whole feature is absent: no menu entry, no REST routes, no generated pages.
Which pages count
The page limit is one number for the whole site: the sum over all tasks of
- live pages (active), and
- hidden pages (the ones you disabled).
These do not count: pages marked removed (their row is gone), moved pages (old URLs that only redirect), converted pages (they are real posts now, see Converting to posts) and pages that are shadowed by real content (URL in use). Hiding a page does not free its slot; removing the row or deleting the page does.
The usage bar on the overview shows the same number: 4,821 / 5,000 with a progress bar that turns to a warning colour from 90 %. Agency shows "· unlimited".
Each language variant of a row is a separate page ("Lyon" in four languages is four pages).
What happens at the limit
- New pages and pages that come back (a removed row that returns, a shadowed page that becomes free again) are not created. The run counts them as limited, finishes normally, and the task card shows "%s page waits for the page limit." with the notice "Your plan’s page limit is reached. Existing pages stay in sync; upgrade to generate more pages."
- Existing pages keep updating and rows that disappeared are still removed: a limit never freezes the site.
- The preview in the URL step warns before you save: "Your plan allows %s more pages; generation stops there."
- When you free slots (delete pages, remove rows, upgrade) the next run creates the waiting pages.
Because the cap is one number, a combination task can use it up quickly: 200 rows paired with each other make 19,900 pages. Check the Preview count before you run.
The task limit
Creating a task beyond your plan's number is refused: "Your plan allows 5 tasks. Upgrade to add more." Per-task AI runs and conversion runs are internal helper tasks and do not count. The quick-start sample counts as one.
When the plan is lower than the task
If a task uses something your current plan lacks (for example after a downgrade from Business to Pro), nothing is deleted:
Task uses | Behaviour on a lower plan |
|---|---|
Combination mode, several sources, a schedule or languages | The task cannot be saved or started with it ("Combination pages are available on the Business plan and above.", "Scheduled sync is available on the Business plan and above.", "Pages in several languages are available on the Business plan and above."). Existing pages keep serving. |
Languages | A run stops with "Pages in several languages need the Business plan. Existing pages keep working." and removes nothing. |
When a license ends
Your site never breaks and nothing is deleted. Generated pages are virtual, so the plugin keeps serving them for a while and offers to turn them into posts.
Situation | Generation, sync, AI, editing | Generated pages on the site | Converting to posts |
|---|---|---|---|
Active license or trial | yes, within the limits | served | yes, up to the page limit |
Expired paid license, first 14 days (grace period) | stopped | still served | yes |
Expired paid license, after the grace period | stopped | no longer served (404) unless converted | yes |
Trial ended without a purchase | stopped | no longer served at once (no grace period) | not guaranteed; convert before the trial ends (see Converting to posts) |
Free (Pro never bought) | not available | not available | not available |
Details:
- The grace period is 14 days after the license's expiry date. A developer can change it with the constant
WPMCF_PSEO_GRACE_DAYSor the filterwpmcf/licensing/grace_days(return a number of days). - During and after the grace period the plugin screens show a notice: "Your Mass Custom Fields Pro license has expired. Generated pages stay online until
<date>; renew to keep them, or convert them into regular posts." (after the grace period: "…generated pages are no longer served. Renew, or convert them into regular posts.") with the buttons Renew license and Convert pages to posts, and links to download your data tables as CSV. - The Programmatic SEO screen is replaced by Your license has expired: "Generation and sync are paused. Renew to keep your pages live and in sync with your data, or convert them into regular posts that stay on your site." It shows "Generated pages stay online until
<date>." (or "The grace period has ended; generated pages are no longer served."), the number of generated pages, Renew license and Convert pages to posts. The task list, editor and AI are locked (the REST routes answer 403). - Converting stays available, capped at the page limit of your last paid plan (Pro's 5,000 if the plan is unknown), counted over all converted pages. Old URLs of converted pages keep redirecting on every plan.
- After renewing, tasks pick up where they were: pages are served again and the next run catches up. Pages whose URL was served as 404 return at once.
- Generated pages that were removed (410) or moved (301) behave as before while pages are served.
